January 2005, Simplify video complete
"Simplify" video completed!! //The Michael Mercy video for "Simplify" is now completed and posted on the audio/video page! Michael has outdone himself this time with rich and stunning visuals. The band is very excited about this one. Plans are already in the works for the next.

December 2004, The Final Round
Lance of Ultraviolet was invited to appear on CTV's The Final Round with three other guests to debate current issues in the news. Hosted by Brent Hanson, the discussions covered topics such as the release of criminals from prison who are thought likley to repeat their offenses, to the current news issues surrounding same sex marriage in Canada.

Ultraviolet single "A Woman's Touch" debuts on Kool FM's Kool or not Kool.
The program asks the audience to vote if the song is "Kool" and should stay on the air. 580 people voted and the single was declared 67% Kool! Ultraviolet rocked the Starlight!! Ultraviolet debuted the new CD and two recently written songs live at The Starlight Social Club on Saturday Nov 13th . Rocking a crowd of 200 enthusiastic fans, the show was a huge success! Rock and Roll!! The band truly appreciates the support. Brent Hanson of CTV showed up with a camera crew to check it out and it aired on the 6:00 news.

Ultraviolet CD release party confirmed
A quick note to let you know that the Ultraviolet CD release party is Saturday November 13th at the Starlight Club, 47 King St. N, in Uptown Waterloo. Doors open at 7:00PM, special guest appearance by The Stars Here, 8:00PM, and Ultraviolet rocks the house at 9:00PM!!

105.3 KOOL FM will give Ultraviolet’s first single “A Woman’s Touch” a shot on November 10th on Kool or not Kool. CTV has informed us they will be out to cover the event. So mark your calendars and come on out!!!

Also the Michael Mercy movie “WHITE”, featuring the score by Ultraviolet and Mariousz Bielawa, will Premier at the Princess Cinema, in Uptown Waterloo, Sunday November 21st at 4:00pm. The movie stars Peter Kovacs and Randy Butcher. Randy has had an impressive career as a stuntman, appearing in numerous feature-length films such as Timeline, X-men, Undercover Brother, Narc and Dawn of the Dead.

September 2004, The CD Is Finally Here!
We are extremely happy to announce the long awaited Ultraviolet CD is here and ready to fill your ears with some sweet candy! (the real bad ass sugar kind, no aspartine agulara here). The CD was written and recorded over the past year and a half, co produced and mixed by Joe Shugan. We are excited that the finished product is in our hands and official, even we can't get the shrink wrap off!!!

Of course the CD is now available for $12.00, including government taxis, at Tonic, 55 Erb St. E. Waterloo and also CD Plus in Kitchener.

In other band news we are currently shooting another video with Micheal Mercy for the song "Simplify". We've been creating a bit of a stir with our neighbours in Toronto and New Hamburg for this shoot, setting up generators, amps and lights, flying in and flying out,lot's of fun! CTV showed up to "shoot the shoot" and will be following up at our Starlight Club release party!

Speaking of which, Ultraviolet is planning a party, at The Starlight Social Club, in Uptown Waterloo, to celebrate the debut CD. We'll keep you informed as this firms up and we get closer to the date.

August 2004, Ultraviolet comes out of the hole!!!
Yes it's true, we've been like little moles. Hiding in dark studios, experimenting, tweeking, making strange noises, and playing some rock and roll!

After a year and a half our eyes are buldging and the CD is completed. It goes to press in Toronto next week. Mixed by Joe Shugan, the CD sounds absolutely amazing! The band is very excited about the upcoming 12 song release.

The video we shot in January/February with Micheal Mercy is also completed and is a fantastic piece of work by a very talented film maker. The band, along with our good friend keyboardist and part of the band paparazzi, Mariusz Bielawa, has also completed the score for Micheal's upcoming film WHITE which will debut, along with the video, locally this fall. We'll keep you notified.

As the band plans a CD release party for this fall we thought we'd drop into THE WAX night club (above the STILL) in downtown Kitchener, Thursday Aug, 19th to play a warm up set with Chaos for Comfort and Devine Brown of Toronto. That's this Thursday! Come on out for some kick'n (the way they used to play guitar) rock and roll!!
